[Odonata-l] Epitheca egg strings

Hello All,

The Eurasian Epitheca bimaculata also lays egg strings like those on the photo by Dave Biggs. The strings are up to 1 metre in length and 1-2 cm wide. According to litterature (Robert, 1957) they conatin well over 2000 eggs. I have made some studies on the arrangement of the eggs in these strings (some 15 years ago) and found that the eggs are arranged in a circular manner in them. I may be able to hunt up a picture of this should anyone be interested.
