[Odonata-l] Metaleptobasis

Dear Mika and others,

In Suriname I only saw species of the genus Metaleptobasis always near the
ground near creeks and in pools in the direct surroundings of creeks; I
never saw any oviposition. Further I saw lots of descriptions of records of
species of this genus of both Dirk Geijskes and Jean Belle and I am sure
they never saw or suggested any oviposition in phytotelmata in Suriname.
Never saw any suggestion of it in literature as well.

Cheers,

Can anyone tell me, from observations or from literature, where
Metaleptobasis oviposit? Specifically, to they ever oviposit in phytotelmata
(cavities in plants, e.g., bromeliad axils, tree holes)? My own records of
where they're found, and the very scant literature I discovered, suggests
probably not, but I've never actually witnessed oviposition. Thanks.
