[Odonata-l] ovipositing photos

Dennis,

Here are two additional photos of congener ovipositing on dead stems.  These
were taken in Maryland.

It is important to note that these shots were taken late in the season
(October 10, 2004) and live stems were in short supply.  The Delmarva bays
where they were found had dried up along with most of its vegetation.  They
may just have been ovipositing in what was available.
