[Odonata-l] EU Habitat directive and European Red List // Odonata

      Dear people!        

      I have some questions about conservation of Odonata and different European documents.        

     

      I am preparing an information on species of Ukrainian Odonata which are in Fauna-Flora-Habitat directive. They are       Sympecma       paedisca (IV)      ,       Aeshna       viridis (IV)      ,       Gomphus       flavipes (IV)      ,       Ophiogomphus       cecilia (II+IV)      ,       Leucorrhinia       albifrons (IV),              L      .       caudalis (IV)      ,       L      .       pectoralis (II+IV) and       Coenagrion       ornatum. In the paper I need to cite Fauna-Flora-Habitat directive but I am not sure what is the last version? Maybe someone knows that? Besides, where can I find detailed information about the detailed description what different appendixes of the directive means? As far as I see Fauna-Flora-Habitat directive protects the same species as Bern Convention. Is it the same document? Is the literature sources available which tell that they are the same? Or there are some differences?        

     

    What is     European Red List? What Odonata species are included in European Red List? What is the link to the last version and where can I read the description of criteria (7?).
