Hi Michel,
This certainly isn't a Sympetrum, but rather a corduliid. Living in
the midwest I don't get to see these very often, but I would venture a
guess that it is a racket-tailed emerald (Dorocordulia libera). Maybe
someone else can confirm or correct this.
