[Odonata-l] FW: GLOM vs. Ohio Dragonfly Symposium

Argia Readers:

The most recent issue of Argia had a slight goof-up in contact
information for the Great Lakes Odonata Meeting (GLOM), and
inadvertently left out another mid-west event that readers might want to
know about. John Abbott will be correcting this in the next issue, but
in the mean time I thought this might be a good way to reach most
interested parties.

 

The contact person for the GLOM is Yvette Liautaud
(whymlode at sbcglobal.net). There might also be a mix-up in the phone
number for the suggested motel - check with Yvette if you have any
trouble.

 

My name was listed incorrectly as a contact for GLOM. Instead, I am
involved with the Ohio Dragonfly Symposium on July 21 and 22. . Our
event will be held July 21-22 at Wooster, Ohio - where Dennis Paulson
will be the keynote speaker. There will be three other speakers
(including yours truly) and a bunch of field trips. All attendees will
also each receive hot off the press a small booklet that the Ohio
Division of Wildlife is publishing, "Common Dragonflies and Damselflies
of Ohio" written by Dave McShaffrey and myself. The details and

We all hope this has not caused too much confusion for those of you
planning to attend either event. If you have questions about the Ohio
event that are not covered on the website, please contact me directly.
