[Odonata-l] odonate inventory/habitat association sampling techniques

I will be spending a considerable amount of time in some remote parts of northern Canada this coming summer conducting bird surveys. While these surveys will be intensive, they are also typically restricted to the early morning hours. Fortunately, I will have some slack time in the late morning/early afternoon to do 'other' things. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some solid sampling/design techniques for odonates, as I'm currently not up on the 'ode' literature. Any advice would be much appreciated!

  Many thanks,

PS - please feel free to reply to me directly, rather than to the entire list if this is not a fruitful avenue for discussion.
