The 6th annual GLOM is happening.

Just to summarize the event. the 2006 GLOM will be in Grantsburg, WI, on
June 22-25, 2006. There will be field trips on (canoes) and near the St.
Croix River, home of the St. Croix (aka Wisconsin) Snaketail (Ophiogomphus
susbehcha) and the Sand (aka Sioux) Snaketail (Ophiogomphus smithi). We
also plan to spend some time at Crex Meadows. This is a non-academic
meeting (but academics are welcome!) and is an open and welcoming event.
Beginners are encouraged to attend.

As long as I'm at it I might as well announce the first ever, Minnesota
Dragonfly Gathering on July 7-9. It will be held at the Baker
Near-Wilderness Settlement just west of the Twin Cities. That event will be
the kick-off for the long-awaited (long-overdue?) Minnesota Odonata Survey
Project. Although it is a "Minnesota"-titled event, it is obviously open to
all-comers.

Spread the word!
